katie eary AW 09 men

25-year old british designer Katie Eary has based her MA collection around the traditional shapes of formal menswear and ostentatious military wear worn for special occasions, giving it a contemporary twist by applying these details to more streetwear shapes.

"My proposal, inspired by William Burroughts, is a ride through the depths of addiction, exploring the inner decay of the human body and its twisted beauty"

such a strong, gorgeous aesthetic. I wish men actually dressed this way. Seems as though girls get all the fun with regards to fashion, most of the time anyway.

I would take some of these pieces and wear them directly. No hesitation.
Althought I'm not seeing how it supposed to represent human decay...

Thanks Cody. I only began my blog yesterday and the hard part is getting people to visit it! I'll be posting some more outfit shots tomorrow.

By the way I love this collection...I'd wear all of it...I don't care if it's menswear xx

Twisted indeed. I don't exactly think of this as menswear though. It's very androgenic but still in favor of the female body. I do like that part of the name is a fitting description, Eerie.
